    For one of my birthdays we climbed up the craggs behind Pikes Peak, Colorado. This is a bristlecone pine - which could be as old as 2,000 years!

    The "Million Dollar" highway to Ouray, Colorado - so named for a variety of reasons; One version claims it is based on the value of the ore-bearing fill that was used to construct the road, or perhaps the million dollar views around every turn!
