Paris has beautiful parks; on this trip we were walking through the Jardins de Luxembourg on our way to find a restaurant that my friend has last visited 20 years ago! We found the restaurant, the same owners, and the same wonderful food. It was a very hot day in June, and the fountain was a welcome feature to cool us down.

Barcelona has some beautiful architecture by the eccentric Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi. Parc Guell was created by Gaudi, and although left unfinished is nonetheless beautiful.

This cross was placed at the "Gibbet" on Hindhead Common in Surrey. Around its base runs a Latin inscription which translated reads: "After death, safety; In death, peace; In life, hope; After the darkness, light."

Lyme Regis is a picturesque fishing town in southern England - famous for a mention in the Doomsday Book, and for smugglers! We were there visiting my Godmother, and spotted these pots on an evening stroll. I especially like taking photographs of pots and plants because there is always a variety of colour and shapes.

Towards the end of a sea voyage, that took us from Turkey to Israel, Egypt and Greece, we stopped at the Island of Santorini. The villages are built right on the sides of the volcanic island, and are really spectacular.

bridge. In fact, Dartmoor contains the largest concentration of
Bronze Age remains in the United Kingdom - although I'm not sure how
old this bridge is.
