Romanian Roses, Timisoara There is not much to write home about in Timisoara. The revolution is reputed to have begun here over 10 years ago, and Tarzan was born there. However, the prize for the town goes to the roses and the exquisite rose gardens. You can buy little bottles of rose perfume everywhere. When I took this picture, I noticed an old man tending the roses with love and attention. |

Lupins, Sierra Mountains My first backpacking trip – and we ended up getting stranded for four days. In my many hours of spare time, I was able to capture some wonderful flora on my camera. We did eventually get rescued, but that is another story. |
